A director of a Nairobi hospital has been charged with defrauding NHIF Sh 31.3 million.
Bramwel Jackson Simiyu of Arrow Web Hospital appeared before Milimani Principal Magistrate Peter Ooko and denied the charges.
The prosecution alleges that on diverse dates between July 1 2016 and December 31 2016 at Arrow Web Hospital in Kayole, Nairobi the accused person with intent to defraud falsified NHIF eight forms and obtained payments benefits of Sh 31,347,000 from NHIF.
He was released on a bond of Sh 5 million or a cash bail of Sh 2 million.
The case will be mentioned on October 17 for further directions.
