City businessman Samwel Brian Yongo Otumba has been charged with cyber harassment after hurling insults to businessman RAjendra Sanghani.
The businessman, popularly known as Brian Yongo appeared before Milimani Principal Magistrate Ben Mark Ekhubi and denied the charges.
The charges stated that he stated to kill Mr Sanghani on April 12, 2024. The court heard that he uttered the words, “My Friend in Spring Valley there, I want to send you Visitors tonight don’t sleep, I want to show you,…You say you were shot in the eye, I want to show I know people who shoot. You were shot in that village market. I swear upon my mother, this one even Sonko will not help you, I swear this one, Even Sonko…Raju,…what I will do to you, you will see mbwa, ghasia, takataka “market”.
The second count stated that on the same day, he used threatening words that were likely to cause apprehension or fear of violence, detrimental, indecent or grossly offensive to Sanghani.
The message according to the charge sheet were sent on WhatsApp, stating, ‘I swear upon my mother, wewe ni mbwa…Raju , I am going to teach you a lesson, go and tell OCS Spring Valley that I have said I will teach you a lesson. You pig. Wewe Utanijua, Mbwa, Ghasia, Your wife is Screwed by men in your fucking house, takataka, you silly, you dog”.
The court ordered him to deposit bond of Sh200,000 or an alternative cash bail of Sh100,000 in court and one contact person, to secure his release.
According to tycoon Raju, Yongo started calling him about John Malogo of Subru motors who was arrested and charged before Kibera law court.
Malogo has defrauded him with a lots of money. Yongo allegedly to mediate businessman Raju and Malogo.
