A man has been charged in a Nairobi court with failing to prevent the loss of a firearm with 40 rounds of ammunitions.
Philip Juma Nambeba who is a licensed firearm holder appeared before Senior Principal Magistrate Martha Mutuku and pleaded not guilty to the charges.
The prosecution alleges that at unknown date and place the accused person being a custodian of a firearm Webbley revolver failed to take reasonable precaution to prevent it loss.
Nambeba was further charged with falling to prevent loss of 40 rounds ammunition.
He also faced another charge of failing to report the loss of his firearm and ammunition.
The magistrate ordered the accused person to be released on a cash bail of Sh 300,000 and bond of Sh 500,000.
