DUO DENY FALSELY OBTAINING RICE WORTH SH43. 8 MILLION.

Two businessmen have been charged with obtaining goods worth Sh43.8 million.

Joseph Mbugua Waweru and Abdullahi Hussein All appeared before Milimani Senior Resident Magistrate Bernard Ochoi and denied the charge.

The court heard that on diverse dates between October 16 and November 16, this year at Industrial Area, in Nairobi County, with others not before court and with intent to defraud, the duo obtained Pakistan Rice valued Sh43,870,350 from Abdirizak Abdullahi Maalim.

The two allegedly pretending that they were in position to pay for the said goods. The two were released on a bond of Sh5 million or alternative cash bail of Sh3 million.

The prosecution has listed six witnesses to testify in the case.
