A bodaboda rider has been charged with knocking down a senior police officer after being flagged down.

The rider Patrick Anasta appeared traffic court Magistrate and denied charges.

He is accused that on April 19, along Graffin Road at Pangani Traffic lights, he knocked down chief inspector Samir Yunus, who is the Pangani OCS.

The court heard that Anasta was riding motorcycle KMFD 540 U and that He rode the motorbike without due care and attention of other road users.

It was further alleged that he failed to stop after being stopped at the roadblock, knocking down the senior police officer.

He is also facing charges of failing to carry license or alternatively, driving without a license.

He was released on a bond of Sh 100, 000 or cash bail of Sh50,000.
