Two businessmen have been charged with obtaining Sh11 Million by false pretense.
Guyo Kuchana Halake and Samsom Kimani Kamau appeared before Milimani Chief Magistrate Wendy Kagendo and denied the charges.

The duo are accused of obtained Sh11 million from Ahmednasir Abdulahi Advocates LLP, who was acting on behalf of his client Mohamud Hashi Abdi.

They allegedly committed the offence on diverse dates between January 17, 2022 and March 29, 2022 in Nairobi city, jointly with others not before court.

The charge sheet stated that with intent to defraud, the duo pretended that they were in position to sell him a parcel of land located in Eastleigh at a cost of Sh120 million.

The court heard that they first obtained Sh11 million being an advance deposit from the law firm on behalf of his client Abdi.

Kuchana was released on a bond of Sh 3 million with one surety and an extra contact person, while Kimani was ordered to deposit a bond of Sh3 million or an alternative cash bail of Sh1 million.

The case will be mentioned on November 8.
