Former Dandora police station Officer Commanding Station has been charged with abusing his position by to solicit sex from the junior officer.
Samir Adhuman Yunus now Ruiru base commander appeared before Milimani Chief Magistrate Wendy Kagendo and denied the charges.
Adhuman is accused that 15th of June in the year 2019 at Dandora police station being the OCS he took advantage of his position of authority and had sex with the victim at the said station.
He was released on a bond of Sh 500,000 or cash bail of Sh200,000 pending hearing and determination of his criminal case.
The officer attempt to differ pleading to the charges pending outcome of the constitution application he filed before the High court seeking to block his prosecution was opposed strongly.
DPP through prosecutor Anderson Gikunda opposed the officer application adding that there was no order stopping the state from prosecuting the senior police officer over alleged rape.
“There is no order stopping this court from taking plea in the matter and therefore l urge this court to proceed to read the charge as drafted by the DPP. The accused has not shown that the charge is defective,” Gikunda told magistrate Kagendo.
