A car dealer has been charged with defrauding businessman over million purporting to be in a position to import a motor vehicle for him.
Gabriel Kimotho Njengo alias Martin Njenga appeared before Milimani Chief Magistrate Lukas Onyina and denied the charge.
Kimotho is accused that between 23rd and 24th December in the year 2021 at Lovington Mall in Kileleshwa in Nairobi jointly with others not before court with intent to defraud they obtained Sh.1.390,000 from Abdulrahman Said Salim.
They obtained the money by falsely pretending that he was in position to import a motor vehicle from Japan for the said Salim a fact he knew was false.
He was released on a bond of Sh.300,000 and surety.
