A Shanzu court has clarified that Pastor Ezekiel Odero will only be required to report an officer investigating him once every month.

Senior Principal Magistrate J. Omido ruled that the New Life Prayer center preacher will no longer be required to report to the police every week as earlier indicated.

The court made the directive after varying earlier orders issued on May 15, 2023 requiring him to report to the police on weekly basis.

“The Respondent (Ezekiel Odero) shall henceforth report to the Investigating Officer once a month. on a day in each successive month and at time to be agreed upon by the Prosecution Counsel and the Defence Counsel,” ruled magistrate Omido.

The Magistrate said that the case came up for mention for the State to appraise the court on the status of the investigations and for parties to apply for any other or further relevant or desired orders.

This was after an objection was raised targeted at the further affidavit filed by the State, which the defence sought to be expunged from the record.
