A trader has been charged with conspiracy to defraud two shareholders of their shares in a company.

Nathan Abiud Dome alias Obura was accused of defrauding the investors on diverse dates.

He appeared before Milimani Senior Principal Magistrate Benard Ochoi and denied the charges.

Dome is accused of conspiracy to defraud 510 shares from Philemon Davis Mwakitawa, an offence he allegedly committed that on diverse dates between January 23rd and 26th this year at an unknown place.

It is claimed that he conspired jointly with others not before court

The court further heard that Dome conspired to defraud 490 shares from Clement Rapudo Sijenyi by means of illegal transfer.

It is alleged that he claimed that the shares had been transferred to Joseph Kimani Kariuki after alleging that he had obtained consent from Mwakitawa and Sijenyi being shareholders of Ebet Kenya limited.

The accused person was released on a bond of Sh200, 000 or alternative cash bail of Sh100, 000.

The court was informed that a similar matter is pending before the same court where Joseph Kimani Kariuki is facing similar charges.

Kariuki is accused that he stole the shares on diverse dates between January 23rd and 26th this year at unknown place and jointly with others not before court, he stole 510 shares of Ebet Kenya ltd worth Sh510, 000 and transferred the same to  to yourself the property of Mwakitawa.

Kariuki is further accused that at Registrar of Companies jointly with others not before court stole 490 shares valued Sh490, 000 and transferred them to himself.
