City businessman Kevin Otieno Onyango popularly known as Sonko has been charged with forging mineral trading license.
Onyango appeared before Milimani Principal Magistrate Ben Mark Ekhubi and denied the charge brought against him.
Covering himself with a hood and a face mask, Onyango denied possessing a fake dealer’s license.
The first count stated that with intent to defraud and without lawful authority, Onyango made a fake Mineral Dealer’s trading license for Cargocare Freight Forwarders.
The court heard that he presented the document purporting it to be genuine and issued by the Ministry of Mining.
He also charged with making the same mineral dealer’s trading license for Twinstar Freight Forwarders purporting it to be a genuine document issued by the Ministry.
The court released him on a cashbail of Sh 200,000 plus two contact persons.
His matter will be mentioned on 6th March.
