Pressure is mounting on the President to disband the entire Ethics and Anti- Corruption Commission together with its secretariat.

National Civil Society Congress (NCSC) today took to the street to express their dissatisfaction with the commission independence.

They also want EACC Chairman Philip Kinisu removed from office over unconfirmed allegations of corruption.

The civil society group says that all the commissioners must also be sent home because they have failed and or neglected to fight corruption.

Members of the group that added its voice on the commission disbandment started their demonstration from National Social Security Fund, went  through Milimani Law Courts before handing over their petition at Integrity Centre and later to parliament.

Working under a slogan ‘Operation Ondoa Panya’ the civil society group said that Kenyans can not buy the idea that EACC as constituted is capable of investigating corruption among the rich and powerful individuals in the Country.
