Two women have been charged before a Nairobi court with stealing a laptop at a city restaurant.
Margaret Mwangi and Leah Njeri Njoroge appeared before Milimani Principal Magistrate Zainab Abdul and pleaded not guilty to the theft charges.
The court heard that on November 2, 2020 at Pronto restaurant located along Standard Street within the Nairobi central business district, the duo stole a HP laptop worth Sh30,000 the property of Nelson Okwera Mandela Mahindu.
Leah Njeri is accused that on the same day and while in the same Restaurant, she was found handling the stolen laptop.
The court ordered each of them to deposit cash bail of Sh20,000 each, pending the hearing and determination of the case.
