Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has given all referees a red card on payment of 2016 subscription fees.
This is until a proper referee electoral body is constituted.

The directive follows a recent meeting organized by FKF which tried to resolve the impasse between two groups claiming to be bonafide officials of the Kenya Referees Football Association (KRFA).

In a press statement to news rooms, FKF CEO Robert Muthomi said that in the meeting it was agreed that the elections for the KFRA be conducted before September 30th 2016 and that only paid up members of the association be allowed to participate in the elections after paying a subscription fee of Kshs 1000.

Muthomi said that the meeting also agreed to form an Electoral Board of seven members to oversee the elections, with the members of the board comprising of two members proposed by each of the warring group and three members proposed by FKF.

KFRA elections were slated for January 28 2016 but failed to kick off because of FKF elections.
