FORMER KIAMBU MAGISTRATE KHAEMBA NOW JOINS PRIVATE DETECTIVE DEFENCE TEAM.

BY SAM ALFAN.

Former Kiambu Senior Principal Magistrate has joined defence team of Private detective Jane Mugoh.

Lawyer Bryan Khaemba has started practising after resigning as a judicial officer.

Khaemba is now part of the Musyoki Mogaka &CO Advocates law firm.

He made his first appearance as lawyer before Milimani Chief Magistrate Martha Mutuku and urged the court to provide state protection to Mugoh who claims her life is in danger.

Although the prosecution did not oppose the application for protection, the court was told she can be detained at Langata Women prison where state will ensure her security. Khaemba dismissed the assertions by the state counsel.

Khaemba informed the court that it is cheaper for the state to provide her with security than to file for damages when her rights are violated.

Also former Makadara Magistrate Emily Nyongesa has joined private practice.
